Responsibilities


· Reporting locally to our regional engineering center in Wuxi and globally to our Fluid Power Competence center in Reggio Emilia, Italy, you will be responsible to drive the introduction and continued production of Pumps/Motors and Hydraulic Valves in the new Yancheng Fluid Power manufacturing facility in China.
· Support Supply Chain to evaluate and assess new suppliers for Hydraulic Products, supplier management experience.
· Liaise with functional and operational team leads (Quality, Purchasing, Supplier Development Engineering, Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Sales, Post Sales Service) to support and manage product growth and continuous improvement.
· Ensure product compliance with performance and quality targets in line with Product Engineering design requirements.
· Identify opportunities for, and support implementation of, Product VAVE (value analysis & value evaluation) activities through the manufacturing process.
· Support to customer warranty claims/troubleshooting of failures for our Hydraulic products during production/assembly, problem solving expertise.
· Support to evaluate reports of defective, damaged or malfunctioning parts, assemblies, equipment or systems to determine nature and scope of problem, and then formulate & execute corrective action plans. Experience of application of quality management systems (8D, 6-sigma, or similar)
· Develop a strong communication channel with our Global Fluid Power Engineering team, collect needs and follow up implementations of all product upgrades/changes as needed.
· Implement and follow up Engineering Change Requests and Notices.


Qualifications


· Education: Graduate degree in related engineering field, degree in Fluid Power is a plus
· Expertise in either Fluid Power component design or manufacturing, specifically relating to either orbital motors, piston pumps and motors, or gear pumps is required.
· Greater than 3 years experience in high-volume manufacturing environment relating to Fluid Power products.
· Experience in using Teamcenter PLM, EPDM and Solidworks. DNA (ERP system) is a plus.
· Knowledge of design methodologies such as DFMEA, DVP&R, APQP, etc.

· Must be a self-directed, motivated, and organized individual who is willing to accept responsibility.
· Project management and planning experience is a plus.
· Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). Ability to communicate in English is a must (Italian is a plus).
· Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.
· Willing and able to complete assignments on time.
